Frickley thletic boss Karl Rose is hoping to welcome back a trio of key players for Saturday’s home match against Stafford Rangers.

Gavin Allott, Jay McFadzean and Tom Woodhead could all be back in the fold this weekend after missing recent matches through injury or unavailability.

Allott suffered an ankle injury in the Blues’ FA Cup loss to Marske United while McFadzean had difficulty breathing before the match and goalkeeper Woodhead was away on holiday.

But all three could boost the Blues this weekend.

“Jay went to hospital to have things checked over at the weekend and obviously first and foremost we hope his health is good,” said Rose.

“Hopefully it will be and we’re fairly confident he can be back in contention on Saturday.

“Gav’s ankle was black and blue when I last saw, it wasn’t nice, but again hope he can be back in action this weekend.”

Frickley follow Saturday’s league match against Stafford with a trip to Harworth Colliery on Wednesday as they continue their defence of the Sheffield Senior Cup (7.45pm).

The Frickley Supporters’ Club meeting has been put back from tonight, Thursday, until next Thursday, October 10. It will take place at the Bigfellas Clubhouse, Westfield Lane, starting at 7.30pm.
