FRICKLEY Athletic will travel to Evo-Stik Premier Division rivals Chorley in the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round.

The Blues beat old foes Worksop Town at Sandy Lane on Friday to book their place in the next round and their reward is a trip across the Pennines.

The draw, which took place at Wembley on Monday, could have been easier for the Blues.

But manager Karl Rose says his side will hold no fears after taming the Tigers in the First Qualifying Round.

“All you want in the cup is a home draw but we haven’t got that,” he said.

“Chorley are going well in the league and it’ll be a tough game for us but we showed that we’re a good team against Worksop in the last round.

“We can go there looking forward to playing them and if we play how we know we can play than we’ll have every chance of getting a good result there.

“It’s the cup and we know that anything can happen in the cup.”

The Blues bagged a welcome £3,000 in prize money for victory on Friday and £4,500 is on offer should they beat Chorley in the next round.

“It’s good financially for the club,” said Rose.

“A good FA Cup run is good for the players but also for the club on the financial front.”

The match will be played on Saturday, September 15 at Chorley’s Victory Park Stadium (kick-off 3pm).

Should a replay be required at Westfield Lane the expected date is Tuesday, September 18 (kick-off 7.45pm).
