Hull prop Andy Lynch has been confirmed as Castleford’s seventh signing for 2014.
Hull say they have released Lynch from the final year of his contract to enable him to return to the Tigers.
The 33-year-old prop will to leave the KC Stadium at the end of the season to rejoin Castleford where spent the first six years of his professional career from 1999 to 2004.
He joined Hull two years ago after seven seasons with Bradford Bulls.
Lynch told Sky’s Boots ‘N’ All programme: “Every time I’ve come back to Cas it’s been emotional.
“I’m glad I’ve got the chance to go back there next year. I’m really looking forward to it. It’s a different kind of atmosphere down at Cas.
“They’ve signed some quality players, it’s going to be exciting times next year.”
The Tigers have also signed Wakefield’s Frankie Mariano, Salford duo Ashley Gibson and Marc Sneyd, London pair Luke Dorn and Scott Wheeldon and former Hull scrum-half Brett Seymour.
