MOORTHORPE Rangers U8s travelled to the Isle of Wight for a post-season tournament and returned as Fair Play Champions for their efforts.

Rangers, who recently lifted the Charles Rice Fair Play League Cup, went on a weekend-long tour and returned as winners.

In their five games they scored an impressive ten goals and conceded just one at the other end.

The Moorthorpe goals came from Spencer Howcroft, William Woollard, Logan Jones, Tyles Raikes and Cameron Grayson.

The clean sheets, of which there were four, were marshalled by Dawson Stenton, Jayden Wain and Rio Evans, who were all superb in their efforts at the back.

Moorthorpe captain Spencer Hawcroft received the winning trophy at the end of the tournament, which was presented to him by former Leicester City and Portsmouth striker Steve Claridge.

Rangers U8s are looking for new players to bolster their squad.
