Australian forward Grant Millington has agreed to stay with Castleford Tigers for another season.

The prop or second rower has been in good form since coming back from injury in recent weeks and has impressed head coach Daryl Powell.

He was out of contract at the end of the current campaign, but after talks with Powell has now agreed a new one-year deal.

The 26-year-old, who scored one of Castleford’s tries in their 18-4 win at Wigan last week, joined Castleford in 2011 from the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

“It’s a great signing for us,” Powell said.

“I’ve been impressed with him, both as a person and as a player.

“He’s a good all-round player and I’m delighted to have him on board for next year.”
