RYHILL and Havercroft moved joint second in Pontefract League Division 4 thanks to a seven-wicket success over Newton Hill.
The Mulberry place side have been in good form all season and made light work of their mid-table hosts at the weekend.
Superb bowling from Peter Lomas and excellent batting from John Lomas put Ryhill on course to victory at Leeds Road.
Hill batted first and Darren Ogley opened well with 29 runs but wickets soon started to tumble at a fast rate.
Ben Hughes (21) was the only other batsman who achieved over 20 as the Ryhill bowling attack tore through the Hill batting line-up.
Peter Lomas led the way with superb figures of 4-34, while Mark Perrin (3-34) and Andy Bowers (2-40) also chipped in.
John Lomas led the reply in superb fashion thanks to a knock of 59 before Les Turner (26), Josh Banks (18) and Peter Lomas (11no) led the visitors to victory.
Ryhill will look to continue their good form when they welcome Monk Bretton 2nds to Mulberry Place on Saturday, wickets pitched at 1.30pm.
