Lock Lane take on Hunslet Warriors in the Bartlett Yorkshire Under 17 Cup final at Featherstone’s Big Fellas Stadium this Sunday (noon kick-off).

It will be followed by the Yorkshire Under 18 Cup final between Oulton and Stanningley (2pm kick-off).

Admission is £5 adults and £3 OAPs, with free admission for under 16s.

Lock Lane beat Eastmoor Dragons 32-6 in the semi-finals last Sunday.

Premier Division Lane were too strong for Division Two champions Eastmoor as they ended the Wakefield side’s 24-match winning run.

Eastmoor went set for set with Lane in the first quarter but the Cas side then took charge to lead 14-0 at the break.

Lane ramped up the pressure to score two more tries early in the second period.

Depleted Eastmoor never gave up but they were 26-0 down when Will Bubb opened their account with a 60-metre interception try.

Another score from Lane put the game out of reach for the battling Dragons.

Eastmoor did not concede any more points in the final quarter and they restored some pride when prop Harry Levitt chased back to make a try saving tackle.

Dec Nicholson won Eastmoor’s MOM award.

Meanwhile, Castleford RUFC will again host the Castleford and Featherstone ARL’s David Poulter Open Cup Final, following the success of last season’s initiative. The match will take place on Wednesday, April 19.
