WAKEFIELD Trinity Wildcats and Castleford Tigers will kick-off this year’s Magic Weekend at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium.

There will be a full round of Stobart Super League fixtures taking place in Manchester on May 26 and 27 and the feisty West Yorkshire derby will start proceedings.

The clash will kick-off at 1pm on the Saturday and the games between Warrington Wolves and Widnes Vikings (kick-off 4pm) and Hull FC and Hull KR (7pm) will follow.

Four games will be played on Sunday with Catalan Dragons taking on London Broncos at 12 noon, Huddersfield Giants going head-to-head with Salford City Reds (2pm), Bradford Bulls facing Leeds Rhinos (4pm) and St Helens playing Wigan Warriors (kick-off 6pm).

“The Magic Weekend has provided some of the highlights of the Super League season in recent years and fans can expect another thrilling and memorable two days of action at Etihad Stadium in May,” said Super League chief executive Nigel Wood.

“There are some fantastic matches in store and I’m sure we are going to see some bumper crowds in Manchester as Super League builds on the success of Magic Weekends at Murrayfield and Millennium Stadium.”
