Travel sickness continues for Frickley Athletic at Worksop Town

Frickley Athletic suffered a 3-2 defeat at old foes Worksop Town on Wednesday night.

The match was the fourth of the season between the sides in all competitions and victory for the Tigers made it two wins each this term.

The defeat for Karl Rose’s men continued Frickley’s unwanted record of losing every match on their travels in the Evo-Stik Premier Division.

Things started well enough for the visitors, however, when Luke Hinsley fired them ahead inside a minute.

The lead did not last long, with Steve Towers and Tom Denton turned the game on its head.

Jake Picton got the Blues back on level terms on 21 minutes as the goals came thick and fast but Towers bagged his second before half-time and that is the way it stayed.

Frickley visit Stafford Rangers on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
