Marine sink Blues in five-goal thriller

Frickley Athletic 2 Marine 3 A DANNY Clarke double wasn't enough to stop Frickley falling to defeat in a five-goal thriller against Marine on Saturday.

Clarke gave the Blues a 25th minute lead in the Evo-Stik Premier Division clash at the Tech5 Stadium.

But the visitors turned the game on its head with goals from Stephen Johnson and a Steve Jussey penalty.

But Clarke fired home his second from the penalty spot to get the Blues on terms before Jamie Rainford fired in Marine's winner eight minutes from time.

Billy Heath's men will be looking to bounce back tomorrow, Tuesday, when they face a tough trip to in-form Matlock Town (kick-off 7.45pm).
