Kinsley Boys push Huddersfield Town youngsters all the way in friendly
KINSLEY Boys fell to a slender 2-1 defeat against Huddersfield Town’s stars of the future last night.
Craig Rouse’s side welcomed Town’s under-18s team for a pre-season friendly fixture to mark part of their 50th anniversary celebrations.
And Boys performed well, getting on level terms with the young Terriers thanks to a Todd Wood strike before the visitors eventually came out on top.
Ryan Cox and Sean Collins scored for Mark Lillis’s Town side in a match that was played over three periods of thirty minutes.
The match was Kinsley’s second friendly fixture of the summer after they fell to a 4-0 defeat against a strong AFC Emley side on Friday.
Boys will host Athersley Recreation next Tuesday, kick-off 6.30pm and will also face a Barnsley XI as part of their pre-season friendly schedule.
