Hemsworth secure FA Cup progression with AFC Liverpool win
Hemsworth MW 4 AFC Liverpool 1 THREE goals in ten second-half minutes helped Hemsworth to an emphatic victory against AFC Liverpool in the FA Cup extra preliminary round on Saturday.
Steve Jones had given the Vodkat League visitors a 16th minute lead before Paul Banton levelled before half-time and MW upped a gear on the resumption.
Wayne Harratt converted a 61st minute penalty before adding a second just four minutes later to put the hosts in command.
And Damion Liddle secured Hemsworth's cup progression with a fourth in the 71st minute to continue MW's superb start to the new season.
The Fitzwilliam Stadium club will now host Evo-Stik Premier League club Bamber Bridge in the preliminary round on Saturday, August 28 (kick-off 3pm).
