Hemsworth MMA ace set for first international fight

HEMSWORTH Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) ace Scott Askham will face his first international fight next month.

The 23-year-old will go up against Dutch opponent Melvin van Suijdam at the Doncaster Dome in his first fight of 2012 on Saturday, May 19.

Both fighters are undefeated as professionals. Askham has won all four of his fights since turning pro’ and van Suijdam has won three from three, meaning something has to give.

It’ll be Askham’s toughest fight yet but he’s confident of maintaining his undefeated tag thanks to complementing his training at Matrix MMA in Doncaster with training sessions at a gym in Liverpool.

Askham would like to thank sponsors Millennium Motor Spares, Hoyle Mill MOT Centre, The Injury Clinic and www.idtm.biz for their support.

And he’s also looking for further sponsorship to help accelerate his MMA career.
