Frickley to host Kendal Town in FA Cup

FRICKLEY Athletic have been drawn at home against Kendal Town in the FA Cup first qualifying round.

The draw for the early rounds of the prestigious competition took place today and Billy Heath's men will host their Evo-Stik Premier Division rivals on Saturday, September 11 (kick-off 3pm).

The Tech5 Stadium club will be keen to build on last year's progression in the competition, where they reached the third qualifying round.

The Blues will know Kendal all-too-well in the coming months, with Frickley also drawing Town in the FA Carlsberg Trophy first qualifying round.

This time, Athletic will travel to Cumbria for the clash on Saturday, October 16.

Hemsworth MW are also involved in this year's FA Cup and will start in the extra preliminary round with a home tie against AFC Liverpool on Saturday, August 14 (kick-off 3pm).

Should MW progress against the Vodkat League side, they'll face another home tie in the preliminary round, against Evo-Stik Premier League side Bamber Bridge on Saturday, August 28.

Progression to the first qualifying round would pit them at home against either Flixton, Bacup Borough or Clitheroe.
