Frickley set for Ossett Albion test

FRICKLEY Athletic welcome Ossett Albion to the Tech5 Stadium tonight in a pre-season friendly, kick-off 7.45pm.

The Blues were scheduled to play a Barnsley XI before the Reds pulled out of the fixture to due injury problems.

But Eric Gilchrist's Albion, who play in Division 1 North, will provide tough opposition for the Blues as they continue their preparations for the new Evo-Stik Premier League campaign.

The Blues have enjoyed a productive pre-season campaign to date, winning two, drawing two and losing two of their six friendly matches so far.

A 4-1 victory over Yorkshire Amateurs on Saturday was their biggest win of the summer so far.

And boss Billy Heath will be looking for more of the same against Albion in South Elmsall tonight as the season edges ever closer.
