Derby County’s Miles Addison still on Barnsley radar

THE transfer window may have slammed shut on Tuesday night but Barnsley boss Keith Hill hasn’t ruled out further bolstering his squad when the loan market reopens next week.

Hill gave debuts to loan duo Michael Tonge and Korey Smith in Tuesday night’s 3-2 win over Derby County.

The Reds boss also signed full-back Scott Golbourne from Exeter City and Leyton Orient captain Stephen Dawson on Tuesday but both are awaiting their debuts.

Hill was keen to bring Derby County’s Miles Addison back to Oakwell after his one-month loan spell came to an end over the weekend.

The Tykes manager looked to bring the 23-year-old back to the club before Tuesday’s deadline but could now make an approach to the Rams when the loan window opens up.

Hill said on Monday: “He’s [Addison] gone back to Derby. It’s something that we’re going to look at keenly over the next two days.

“But if we can’t do the business that we want to do then there’s a possibility that we’ll go back into the loan market for Miles.”

Barnsley will look to secure back-to-back wins when they visit Watford tomorrow (kick-off 3pm).
