Depleted Blues prove a point at Kendal

FRICKLEY Athletic continued their good form by picking up a creditable point from a tough trip to Kendal Town.
The draw in Cumbria stretched the Blues’ unbeaten run to four Evo-Stik Premier Divsion games and the point was even more impressive given the depleted nature of Peter Rinkcavage’s squad.
The South Elmsall side had the best of the early chances through Danny South and Lincoln Adams, who saw his header cleared off the line.
Danny Wisdom had Kendal’s first real chance minutes before half-time but Steve Dickinson, the Blues goalkeeper, was alert to deny him.
The game burst into life in three second-half minutes. First, Alex Taylor drilled home the opener for Town before Danny South rose to head home James Ashmore’s free-kick minutes later.
Chances fell to both sides as the game progressed but that’s the way it stayed as the Blues made the long trip home with a positive point.
