Cas fans thanked for snow-clearing help

CASTLEFORD Tigers have thanked volunteers who ensured Sunday’s Super League match against Bradford Bulls at Probix Coliseum went ahead.

Around 40 fans turned up at the ground on Sunday morning armed with snow shovels to help remove snow that was covering the pitch and sections of the stadium.

Tigers chief executive Richard Wright (pictured) said: “It was a big job and we are very grateful that so many people were willing to help out.

“We thank all the fans who turned up and helped. Everyone worked hard to make sure the ground was safe and in suitable condition for the game to go ahead.

“It was disappointing that we didn’t get the result but without the help of fans we would have struggled to get the game on at all.”
