Briggs has shoulder operation

FEATHERSTONE’S Kyle Briggs is sidelined with a shoulder injury.

Briggs (pictured), who has been signed on loan from Bradford Bulls for the remainder of this season. will undergo surgery.

Rovers coach Daryl Powell said: “Kyle has been struggling with his shoulder for some time and has had to play while taking a pain killing injection which is not ideal.

“We hope to see Kyle back on the field as soon as possible as he is a quality person and player. Coaching staff and players at Featherstone Rovers wish Kyle a speedy recovery from the surgery.”

Briggs has scored seven tries in 11 appearances for Rovers this season.
