Blues look to continue pre-season progression against Eastwood Town

FRICKLEY Athletic will look to continue their pre-season improvements when they host Eastwood Town tonight.

The Blue Square North side provide the opposition in what will be the Blues' fourth friendly game in the space of a week at the Tech5 Stadium (kick-off 7.45pm).

And boss Billy Heath will be hoping his troops continue their improvements after their opening three matches.

A disappointing 3-0 defeat against Grimsby Town was followed swiftly by a 1-0 win against a Huddersfield Town XI and a 1-1 stalement against a strong Mansfield Town side.

The Badgers will provide a more 'realistic' opposition for Frickley in terms of preparing for the forthcoming Evo-Stik Premier League campaign.

Town won promotion from the Premier Division two seasons ago and still have players in their squad who featured regularly against Frickley at that level.

Heath is likely to ring the changes for the match given Frickley's hectic schedule to date, giving all of his squad the chance to shine and stake their claim for a starting role when the season kicks-off.

Tickets will be available on the turnstiles for tonight's match, kick-off 7.45pm.
