Blues boss targeting new striker signing

FRICKLEY Athletic boss Peter Rinkcavage is looking to sign a new player before Saturday’s tough trip to Kendal Town.
The Blues boss has targeted a new striker to bolster his attacking options with no fewer than four forwards unavailable for the trip to Cumbria.
Ollie Ryan will sit out the second of his three-game suspension, Danny South is on trial at League of Ireland club Dundalk FC, Peter Knox is unavailable through other commitments and Brad Grayson is expected to miss out through injury.
“It’s one in and one out as far as transfers are concerned,” said Rinkcavage.
“We are looking to get a player in before Saturday though because the squad is thin, especially in attack.”
South is expected to return for the home clash against Mickleover Sports a week on Saturday and former Doncaster Rovers product Grayson isn’t expected to be sidelined for too long.
Ryan will miss two more games while Knox continues to feature as and when he can due to other commitments.
It means Rinkcavage is likely to look to a short-term solution to plug the gap rather than bring someone in for the long-term with the playing budget already having been cut this season.
