Blues fall to defeat at Nantwich

Nantwich Town 3 Frickley Athletic 1 NANTWICH proved too strong for the Blues as Billy Heath's men fell to another UniBond Premier Division defeat.

The Blues were a match for their hosts until just two minutes before half-time when Mervyn Robinson broke the deadlock for Town.

Ashley Carter added a second for the hosts on the resumption before Neil Towler kept the Blues in the game just after the hour mark.

Robinson grabbed his second for Nantwich with 20 minutes to go to seal the win and keep Frickley in the thick of relegation trouble.

See Thursday's Hemsworth and South Elmsall Express for full match report and reaction from boss Billy Heath.
