Blues boss anticipates tough clash with title-favourites FC Halifax Town
FRICKLEY Athletic boss Billy Heath believes his side have every chance of causing a shock when title-favourites FC Halifax Town visit the Tech5 Stadium tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).
The Blues welcome the Shaymen to South Elmsall for their first home match of the season and keen to pick up their first points of the campaign following an opening day defeat at Kendal Town on Saturday.
And although acknowledging Halifax's title-winning chances, Heath is confident that his men can cause a mini shock early in the season.
"We're playing the favourites to win the league so it'll be a tough game and a good game," he said.
"We know that all the games this season will be big games for us but tonight will be a yardstick to show us just where we're at."
He continued: "If we play like we played on Saturday we'll have every chance of winning, we just need that final ball and that bit of quality with the final ball."
The Blues will be without Danny Clarke for the match after the midfielder picked up a dead leg at Kendal at the weekend.
Patrick McGuire is set to replace him in his first competitive start in the blue and white stripes.
