YORKSHIRE League Division 4 title chasers Hemsworth RUFC first team poured more misery on struggling Stanley Rodillians with an emphatic 41-0 win on Saturday.
Hemsworth have now lost only once in their last 12 outings while Rods are still waiting for their first points of the campaign.
Jake Thompson scored the visitors’ first try on five minutes, converted by Joe Thompson, and second rower Rob Hooker touched-down to make it 12-0 before scrum-half Dean Joburns added another converted try.
Phil Campbell crossed in the corner to give Hemsworth a commanding 22-0 lead at the break.
Centre Paul Hewitt marked his first team debut in style, breaking through to cross under the posts and Joe Thompson added the goal.
Jake Thompson went over in the corner again for an unconverted try and the scoring was completed when Hewitt broke through from a line out to score, Rob Taylor adding the extras.
