HEMSWORTH have the chance to climb to the top of Yorkshire Division Four when they travel to basement dwellers Stanley Rodillians on Saturday (kick-off 2.15pm), writes Nick Rigg.

The Moxon Fields men stretched their winning run to four league matches with victory over Old Grovians at the weekend and moved within a point of leaders Leeds Medics and Dentists.

And Mark Wilson’s men will be big favourites to claim maximum points against a Stanley side that have yet to pick up a point so far this term.

Hemsworth will also be relying on results elsewhere to take top spot, but Leeds face a tough task at Ossett and second-placed Harrogate Pythons host fourth-placed Old Grovians.

“We’ll be looking to go to Stanley and score a lot of tries so we can get the win and get the bonus point too,” said Wilson.

“We need to get our points difference up, it could be crucial come the end of the season, so we have to try and do that against the bottom side.”

Hemsworth are set to welcome Matt Lowe back to first team action after over six months on the sidelines through injury.

“Matt has looked good in training and he’s ready to return,” said Wilson.

But Gavin Sykes is out and will be replaced by second team captain Michael Stables.

Darren Key is sidelined for “a few weeks” but youngsters James Bennett and Brad Thompson are set to be part of the match day squad for the trip to Rodillians.
