DEFEAT isn’t an option for Hemsworth RUFC on Saturday as they travel to Yorkshire Division 4 basement dwellers Marist looking to maintain their promotion push.

The Moxon Fields side, who sit third in the table, fell nine points behind second-placed Burley thanks to their scheduled clash at Harrogate Pythons falling victim of the weather last weekend.

But, thanks to five wins on the spin, Carl Wroe’s men still have aspirations of a top-two finish and will aim to close the gap on Burley with a big win at Marist.

Hemsworth edged the reverse league fixture on home soil 29-27 and will be favourites for another vistory against the Hull club.
