Hemsworth aim to complete Pythons double

PROMOTION-chasing Hemsworth RUFC will hope there’s no bite in Harrogate Pythons when they meet in Yorkshire Division 4 on Saturday (kick-off 2.15pm).

The Moxon Fields side will aim to keep the pressure on second-placed Burley with victory against Harrogate, a side who sit two points behind Carl Wroe’s men in the league table.

A win for Hemsworth would not only keep them in touching distance of the promotion places but would also all-but end Pythons’ own hopes of promotion.

The match was originally scheduled to take place in December but was postponed due to the wintry weather.

Both sides have won all four of their encounters since then and will go head-to-head in confident mood in North Yorkshire.

Gareth Jones will return the starting line-up for Hemsworth after missing the last two weeks due to work commitments.

James Poritt will replace Guy Picketts at no.8, while head coach Wroe will start on the bench.

Hemsworth defeated Harrogate in the reverse league fixture at Moxon Fields last September with an 18-3 success.

More of the same will be required from Wroe’s men this weekend if they’re to keep their promotion dream firmly alive.
