Featherstone Rovers hope to have full-back Ian Hardman back for Sunday’s Kingstone Press Championship game at Keighley Cougars.

Hardman has missed the last three matches with a knee injury.

Rovers will also check on hooker Ben Kaye who missed last Sunday’s 52-18 win over Dewsbury Rams with a shoulder injury.

“We’ll assess Ian Hardman this week,” said Featherstone’s interim coach Danny Evans.

“He’s not too far off but I think Ben Kaye will probably be a bit further off returning than Hardman.”

Evans expects a hard test at Keighley who matched Featherstone’s score against Dewsbury by winning 52-18 at Whitehaven last Sunday.

“Keighley came away with a really good win at Whitehaven which is a tough place to visit so that will have boosted their confidence,” he added.

“We’ve just got to make sure we prepare right and make sure we have a good week in training. We just want to keep the momemtum going and concentrate on things week by week.

“ We don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves, we just want to be consistent.”
