FRICKLEY Athletic will look to complete a hat-trick of cup wins against old foes Worksop Town tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Blues take on the Tigers in the third round of the Doodson Sport Cup having knocked Simon Clark’s side out of two cup competitions already this season.

Karl Rose’s men ended Town’s stay in the FA Cup at the First Qualifying Round stage in September and mauled the Tigers 6-2 in the second round of the Sheffield and Hallamshire Cup in November.

Rose will be hoping for more of the same from his side at Babbage Way tonight as Frickley look to keep all avenues leading to silverware open.

Frickley are without goalkeeper Tom Woodhead through work commitments, meaning Darren Shirt, a recent arrival from Athersley Recreation, is set to make his debut.

Gavin Allott has certainly enjoyed good fortunes against his former club this season, netting three goals in Frickley’s two cup wins over Worksop. He also netted a hat-trick in the Blues’ 3-3 draw with Rushall Olympic at the weekend.
