Frickley Athletic will search for their first away victory of the season when they visit Skelmersdale United on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
The match is the first part of a tough double-header which sees Karl Rose’s men take on two of the Evo-Stik Premier Division’s big guns in the space of four days.
The trip to face sixth-placed Skelmersdale is quickly following by the visit of table-topping FC United of Manchester to Westfield Lane on Tuesday (kick-off 7.45pm).
And although the season is only six games old, Rose will be eager for his men to come away from the matches with some points of the board to ensure they climb out of the relegation spots sooner rather than later.
The Blues boss will also be wary of his side’s struggles away from home last season and will be keen to scratch off their first away win as soon as possible.
There will be excitement for the visit of early leaders United, with a large following contingent expected in South Elmsall on Tuesday night to boost the atmosphere - and club coffers.
Frickley go into the games with no fresh injury worries.
The Blues have agreed an improved deal with South Elmsall-based sportswear and workwear group JJ Leisure to continue their sponsorship this season.
Chairman Gareth Dando said: “JJ Leisure have sponsored the club for the best part of a decade now in various ways.
“This improved package shows they are buying into what we are trying to do which is to actively encourage community involvement by building new facilities and hosting events for local charities as well as starting a new junior section”.
The new deal sees the club continue to work with its three main sponsors, with Yorkshire Interiors and Bigfellas continuing their support this term.
