Frickley Athletic striker Gavin Allott has been shortlisted as one of five nominees for the Evo-Stik Fans’ Player of the Season award.

The former Guiseley forward has been in top form this season, leading the scoring at Westfield Lane with 26 goals to his name in all competitions so far.

Allott’s goals have helped keep the Blues above the Evo-Stik Premier Division relegation zone and his tally could have been higher having missed the last month through injury.

His efforts have been recognised through the award, run on the Northern Premier League Facebook group, with 87 nominees being whittled down to a final five.

The other nominees for the award are Kristian Dennis (Curzon Ashton), Ben Haseley (Halesowen Town), Michael Oates (Trafford) and Ryan Kendall (North Ferriby United).

Fans can vote for the winner by clicking here and the deadline for voting is midnight on Saturday.

The winner will be announced at the Evo-Stik League Players’ Awards evening, which takes place on Sunday, April 7 at the Brooklands Hotel in Barnsley.
