FRICKLEY Athletic captain Matty Bloor has pledged his future to the club by signing a new contract.
The 22-year-old, who has turned down approaches from high-placed clubs to remain a Blue, is in his second spell at Westfield Lane and has become a vital part of Karl Rose’s team.
His performances have been enough to prompt Rose to keep Bloor in South Elmsall until at least the end of the 2013-14 season.
Rose said: “Matt has been very consistent this season and is an important player for us. He’s turned down approaches from higher placed clubs which shows he believes in what we’re doing at the club”
Bloor added: “I’m delighted to sign and commit my future to Frickley Athletic. I’m thoroughly enjoying being here. We’ve got a great set of lads and I believe we’re as good as anyone in the league on our day.”
