Hemsworth MW continued their impressive form with a thumping 4-0 win at Askern Villa on Wednesday night.
The victory was Welfare’s fourth on the spin in Northern Counties East League Division 1, their best run of form all season, and moves Daryl Bowman’s men up to eleventh in the table.
All those victories have come away from home but it took Hemsworth a while to break through Villa’s defence, with Darren Barrick eventually firing the visitors ahead five minutes before half-time.
Neil Towler added a brace to take his tally to five goals in his last four matches and Lee Swift also netted to wrap-up a pleasing night for the MDC Sports Stadium club and keep Askern in the thick of a relegation battle.
Welfare return to home soil on Saturday and they will be looking to extend their winning run to five matches when Hallam are the visitors (kick-off 3pm).
