Frickley Athletic have received another boost with Wates Giving making a significant donation to the academy as well as towards soccer schools.
Wates have donated £5,000 towards kit and equipment for Frickley Academy and also to part fund a children’s soccer school during the school summer holidays.
Wates Giving is part of the Wates Group, whose construction arm is responsible for building new housing on land adjacent to Frickley’s Westfield Lane ground.
Blues chairman Gareth Dando said: “Over the past few months we’ve built a great relationship with Wates, who are currently building over 350 homes on land next to the club.
“The company works closely with its neighbours and I’d like to thank Craig Wood and Angie Hough, from Wates, for their help in securing the money for the club. We’ll be releasing details of the summer soccer school over the next few weeks so please keep an eye on the website for further information.”

Frickley have announced that general admission and season ticket prices will remain the same for the 2014-15 season.
Therefore, general admission prices will again be £9 for adults, £6 for concessions and £3 for under 16s.
Season tickets are again priced at £150 for adults, £95 for concessions with under 16s again being able to apply for a free season ticket.
As with previous seasons there will be an “early bird” saving of £10 for season tickets bought before August 1.
Frickley, meanwhile, are looking for volunteers to help out with work at their Westfield Lane ground over the next two weekends, between 9am and 1pm.
The working days will take place this Saturday and Sunday and on Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13 with numerous jobs needing to be done. These vary from cleaning and mopping to painting and weeding.
Help from anyone with an hour or so to spend between 9am and 1pm on any of these days will be greatly appreciated.
It is intended that a barbecue for food will be provided along with liquid refreshments.
The Blues have fixed up two more friendlies as they will visit Hemsworth Miners Welfare and host Garforth Town.
Frickley take on Wayne Benn’s Hemsworth side on Tuesday, July 15 (7.45pm) while Garforth visit Westfield Lane on Saturday, July 26 (3pm).
