Hemsworth MW are back in the top 10 in the Toolstation NCE Premier Division after rediscovering their goal touch at home to Harrogate Railway Athletic.
Wayne Benn’s men climbed back up the table following an 8-1 thrashing which was all the more remarkable as it was Harrogate who scored first.
Stephen Bromley gave Railway an eighth minute advantage, but Nash Connolly equalised 26 minutes in and Richard Collier made it 2-1 before half-time.
After the break Hemsworth took complete control following further efforts by Connolly and Collier.
Sam Jones made it five just after the hour and there was no let up for Harrogate as Jack Steers, Lloyd Henderson and Bill Law were all on target before the finish.
Hemsworth were in action again on Tuesday night and were surprisingly beaten 3-0 by Retford United, who went into the match bottom of the table.
It was maybe a case of Retford having more to play for with their relegation battle as they came up with three second half goals through Jake Ashton, James Eyles and Oliver Perry.
Hemsworth are away to Athersley Recreation this Saturday (3pm).
