Hemsworth MW are aiming to hit the ground running next season in the NCE League after announcing a number of pre-season fixtures.
The players are back in training now and will be in action for the first time in a home friendly against ambitious Shaw Lane Aquaforce, who were promoted from the NCE Division One last term, on Friday, July 11 (kick-off 7.30pm).
Another home match follows on Saturday, July 19 with Evo-Stik Northern Premier League side Ossett Albion the visitors for a 3pm kick-off.
More higher league opposition has been chosen with Guiseley the opponents for a pre-season friendly at Hemsworth on Wednesday, July 23 (7.45pm).
Welfare then take on Stocksbridge Park Steels at home on Saturday, July 26 (3pm) and are away to another Evo-Stik outfit in Ossett Town on Saturday, August 2 (3pm).
Hemsworth were due to host Wakefield FC on Tuesday, July 29, but the fixture is not now expected to go ahead after reports that the Wakefield club, relegated from the Evo-Stik League to the NCE, have folded.
