Frickley to face Leeds United side

Frickley Athletic have added a fourth pre-season game against Football League opposition after announcing that they will take on Leeds United’s under 21s team next month.

Already down to play Doncaster Rovers, a Hull City XI and a Barnsley XI, the Blues will now play the Leeds team at Westfield Lane on Saturday, July 25, kick-off 3pm.

Frickley’s final planned pre-season game sees them travel to the north east to face Newcastle Benfield on Saturday, July 11.

The game will kick-off earlier than normal, at 1pm.

Managed by former Queen of the South, York City and Gateshead midfielder Steve Bowey, Newcastle Benfield play in the Northern League First Division and finished in tenth place in 2014-15.

Wednesday, July 8 - Doncaster Rovers (home), 7.30pm.

Saturday, July 11 - Newcastle Benfield (away), 1pm.

Saturday, July 18 - Hull City XI (home), 3pm.

Saturday, July 25 - Leeds United U21s (home), 3pm.

Tuesday, July 28 - Barnsley (home), 7pm.

Saturday, August 1 - North Ferriby United (home), 3pm.

Tuesday, August 4 - Glasshoughton Welfare (away), 7.45pm.

Saturday, August 8 - Ossett Town (away), 3pm.
