Four away wins on the bounce in all competitions have boosted Frickley Athletic and they now face two more travels as they play league and cup games over the next week.

This Saturday they travel to Chorley to take on the Vanarama North League side in a second qualifying round tie in the Emirates FA Cup (kick-off 3pm).

The Blues will be looking for a repeat after they beat Chorley 3-1 when the two sides met at the same stage three seasons ago.

Unless a cup replay is required, Frickley will be away again next Tuesday night when they take on Ashton United (kick-off 7.45pm) in the Evo-Stik Premier League.

Ashton are four points and 10 places below the Blues and go into the game on the back of their first away defeat when they lost 2-1 at Buxton on Tuesday night.

Frickley, meanwhile, have been given a home draw in the second round of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup.

The holders will take on Millmoor Juniors with the tie due to be played on Tuesday, October 6, with a 7.45pm kick-off.

The league game against Stamford that was due to be played that evening will be rescheduled.

Millmoor Juniors play in the Pete’s Patisserie County Senior League and are currently top of the Premier Division with four wins and a draw from their first five matches this season.
