Frickley Athletic have strengthened their squad further by adding the versatile Teddy Bloor and centre back Kane Baldwin on an initial month’s loan from Mansfield Town.
Bloor, a product of the Brighton and Hove Albion Academy, is a first year professional along with Baldwin, who received his football education at Birmingham City before becoming an integral part of the Mansfield youth team that has won back to back titles.
Frickley manager Spencer Fearn said: “Teddy and Kane trained with us and certainly impressed. They are both technically good, have great levels of fitness, a winning mentality and are good communicators. By adding them to the squad we have more strength in depth, which has been the aim the past couple of weeks.”
Frickley have parted company with one of their summer signings with Mark Simpson moving to Worksop Town while Ryan Ferguson is to link up with Liversedge on dual registration terms to gain more experience in adult football.
Fearn said: “We could not offer Mark regular first team football and it is in his own best interest to be playing every week. He has gone to a good club in Worksop and we wish him well. Ryan will gain some valuable experience and will still be training with us through the week.”
