Frickley Academy are starting training for ladies, leading hopefully to the development of a womens team.

Each Wednesday in June at Minsthorpe Sports & Fitness fields, from 6-7pm, Frickley Academy, supported by the Sheffield FA, are putting on free training sessions for ladies wanting to play football.

Anyone of any ability aged 16 or upwards are welcome as long as they are not signed on with any other team.

The club hopes these sessions will lead to the formation of a ladies team for the 2015-16 season.

All coaches are FA qualified and the training is aimed at allcomers, including beginners or ladies who did play and might want to get back into football. There are four sessions for players of all abilities planned.

Anyone who would like more information, can send an email to frickleyacademy @gmail.com or ring Allan Howcroft on 07971 886223.

Frickley Academy have arranged two trials sessions for next season’s junior teams on Saturday, June 20 for 9-13-year-olds and 16-19 years and Saturday, June 27 for under 8s.

Both open trials sessions will take place at Minsthorpe College with the session for under 8s between 2pm and 4pm and the session for ages 9-13 and 16-19 years on between 2pm and 5pm.
