FRICKLEY Athletic twice fought back from a goal down to earn a hard-fought 2-2 Evo-Stik League Premier Division draw at Northwich Victoria on Saturday.

Following a frantic start to the game in which both teams could have broken the deadlock, it was the hosts who edged ahead through Lewis short’s strike on 37 minutes.

The Blues restored parity five minutes into the second-half when Jack Watts was hauled down in the box and Mark Whitehouse converted from the penalty spot.

The visitors hit the woodwork before Victoria took the lead on 67 minutes through Nathan Wolfe but Ashley Longstaffe earned Frickley a deserved point with his 73rd minute equaliser.
