FRICKLEY Athletic endured a frustrating weekend in which their Evo-Stik Premier Division clash at Ashton United was called off due to a frozen pitch.

Saturday’s match would have marked the debut for newly-signed defender Micah Bleau, who has signed for the Blues from local rivals Wakefield FC.

The cousin of former Blues’ player Kelvin Bleau, Micah, 25, has also played for Winterton Rangers and FC United of Manchester.

Athletic’s goalkeeping coach Jon Hood has also put pen to paper to register as cover.
