Frickley Athletic’s Supporters Player of the Year presentation was made before the game against Curzon Ashton with central defender John Cyrus winning the award.

The 23-year-old centre-back joined the club in the summer from Shaw Lane Aquaforce and has been impressive in the Blues’ defence this season.

A mark of his consistency has been that in all he has made 51 appearances for the club this season, scoring two goals.

Reece Thompson came second in the supporters vote with Matty Bloor coming third despite only returning in November from almost 10 months out with a bad injury.
