Castleford Tigers’ H Bombs and Millward Night was a big success when a full house listened to three rugby league legends tell stories of yesteryear.
Alan Hardisty, Keith Hepworth and Roger Millward were guests at a special “evening with” event organised by Tigers Together.
They talked about a range of topics and reminisced about their playing days in the 1960s while Tigers’ chief executive Steve Gill acted as compere for the evening.
Steve Gill said: “I would like to thank Tigers Together for organising the event and Alan, Keith and Roger for their time and contribution.
“It was a real pleasure working with three Cas born legends whose insight and knowledge of the game was much appreciated.
“The event was a big success as not only was it enjoyed by so many fans but it also raised important funds for the club too.”
Kevin Lloyd, chairman of Tigers Together, said: “I would like to thank all those who attended and especially the rugby legends Alan, Keith and Roger. They entertained everyone with their funny, thought provoking and often poignant stories.
“I would also like to thank Tigers CEO Steve Gill for his role as MC for the night and to Toi and her catering team for the delicious food.
“A tremendous total of £562.40 was raised for club funds and Tigers Together is planning further ‘evening with’ events in the future. Hopefully they will all be a successful and enjoyable as this.”
