Featherstone Rovers are gearing up for a crucial spell of three matches in 10 days against Kingstone Press Championship top-four rivals.

After tomorrow night’s (Friday) clash against Sheffield Eagles at Big Fellas Stadium, Rovers visit London Broncos on Easter Monday and host Halifax the following Sunday.

Featherstone go into the spell in impressive form. They stretched their winning run to five games with last Saturday’s 48-26 victory at London Broncos in the Challenge Cup.

“We’ve got three really big games coming up. We’ll need to be at our best to pick up points and we need to stay healthy as well which is crucial at this stage,” said Featherstone coach Jon Sharp.

“The signs are there that Sheffield are improving and there are signs they will be there at the end of the year. They still look like a top-four team to me.”

After last Saturday’s win, Sharp expects a different type of encounter when they travel to London again for Monday’s league fixture.

“It was the Challenge Cup last weekend and I think we’ve got to treat that competition in isolation,” he added.

“I don’t think we’ll get too much out of that because they will be two different teams next time. The London line-up will be different and so will ours.”
