CASTLEFORD Tigers stand-off Rangi Chase has been banned for three games by the RFL disciplinary committee.

Chase (pictured) was found guilty of a grade offence for striking Featherstone Rovers winger Tangi Ropati in a reckless manner in the 61st minute of their Carnegie Challenge Cup tie last Saturday.

Chase, who pleaded guilty to the charge, was also fined £300 by the panel.

Samoan international Ropati will be out for 10 to 12 weeks after his jaw was broken in two places.
