Featherstone Rovers will be without Matt James and Kyle Briggs against Halifax at Big Fellas Stadium on Sunday.
James will out for a month following minor knee surgery while Briggs (pictured) is again sidelined with knee trouble after making an unsuccessful comeback in last weekend’s Challenge Cup tie at London Broncos.
Rovers coach Daryl Powell said: “Kyle Briggs looks like he’ll be out for an extended period. He came back and did all the fitness tests and looked okay going into the game and after his first tackle he had to come off. That impacted on us as well with us only having three substitutes left.
“It’s one of those things in contact sport. It’s very disappointing for Kyle and ourselves. He is an important player for us but that’s life and we’ve got to get on with it without Kyle’s influence on the team.
“Matt James had an operation to tidy up his knee. He is going to be out for a month.”
