Featherstone Rovers have suffered a setback with news that Kyle Briggs sustained a suspected broken leg in last night’s 52-10 win over Keighley Cougars.

Briggs (pictured) was injured after only eight minutes in the Kingstone Championship game at Big Fellas Stadium.

Rovers coach Daryl Powell said today: “Kyle has a suspected broken leg and he’ll have an x-ray today to see what the situation is and we will go from there.

“He just got his leg caught beneath a tackle. He tried to go with it but there’s obviously an issue there and we need to get him checked out.

“It’s a blow because he has been playing outstandingly well.”
