Featherstone’s medical and physiotherapy departmenthas received a boost with the delivery of two top quality physiotherapy beds.
The beds were donated by club shareholder Mick Thornton, who was recently appointed an associate director of Rovers.
Matty Crowther, Featherstone’s head of physiotherapy, said: “I would like to thank Mick personally for his generosity in providing us with these beds. Moving forward with the improvement of the facilities here at the Big Fellas Stadium, these were essential to our medical department. It is great to see this kind of gesture from a lifelong Rovers fan who recognises all the hard work that is being done in our push for Super League.”
Mr Thornton said: “I’m happy to help Rovers in any way I can and once I learnt that Matt Crowther required assistance I was eager to help.
“The new Centre of Excellence the club has invested in is something to proud of and the purchase of these beds enables Matt to be based permanently in the Centre and I am sure it will help the welfare of all the players representing Featherstone Rovers at all levels.”
