WINGER Mark Whitehouse has left Frickley Athletic to join Evo-Stik Premier Division rivals Stocksbridge Park Steels.
Whitehouse has been unable to command a regular first-team place at the Tech5 Stadium and has made the switch to the Steels in search of more first team action.
The former North Ferriby United and FC Halifax Town man had made just three appearances for the Blues this season.
They all came early on in the season and Whitehouse netted once, from the penalty spot.
He hasn’t played since August and has decided to move on to Stocksbridge.
Whitehouse’s departure follows hot-on-the-heels of another winger to leave the South Elmsall side for pastures new.
Jet-heeled winger Leon Henry left the Blues for former club Ossett Town in search of more first team action with the Evo-Stik Division 1 North side.
Henry suffered a bad injury with the Blues last season.
The 25-year-old returned to full fitness this season but struggled to hold down a regular spot in Peter Rinkcavage’s first team plans and opted for a move to join Phil Sharpe at Stade France.
